How I speak

I thought this was interesting (yet another online test, but this one is only 20 questions):

Jennifer's Linguistic Profile:

75% General American English
15% Yankee
10% Upper Midwestern
0% Dixie
0% Midwestern

Chris's Linguistic Profile:

60% General American English
20% Yankee
15% Upper Midwestern
5% Dixie
0% Midwestern
But what I want to know is what answers leaned me one way or another. Where'd I get 5% Dixie?

Thanks for coming Adam and Melissa!

Poker

Amy, Melissa, and Jennifer, crashed after a long game of poker

I finally won a game (not just a hand or two) of poker.

Fireworks Show

Casey and Amy prep-ing for the "Big Show" on 4th of July

Pre show sparklers

Casey and Amy put on a great fireworks display

This doesn't really do the show justice, but I had to include one shot of the fireworks

Amberly and Tahoe

Tahoe was also very happy to see Amberly

You're Out

Adam and I are preparing our "You're Out!" moves

Meat

Meat and Fire... good. (For those who haven't seen it/tried it, the meat on the left is covered in garlic salt and mustard... a Becker family favorite)

Who came?

Kaylor and Nate

Connor was thrilled to see Amberly

Fred, Judi and Chris

Amy, Adam, and Buzz

Adam, Melissa, and Buzz

My mom liked this shot the best, even though her mouth was covered

Our great neighbors, Rich, Kelly, and Owen.

Grandma

Grandma helped watch Connor while we cooked or played horseshoes. They always have the best time.

Horseshoes

The horseshoe judges (hecklers). Notice the new driveway gate (not painted, finished the night before)

With this form, how can he not hit ringers?!

Another toss that's bound to be a ringer

A victory dance!

Non-victory dis-belief

Parade

Watching the parade after eating at the Firemen's Pancake breakfast.

Connor loved the parade so much he sat in Nana's lap for most of it.

A new fashion trend.

The boy loves his swim diapers... on the outside of his clothes... so he can see them! I will post more shots of them over pjs, church clothes, other diapers, etc.. You get the idea.

Avila Valley Barn

Feeding the goats Mommy and Connor Jennifer, Connor and some friends went on a hay ride, picked peaches, and fed the animals at the Avila Valley Barn.
